Adult Hebrew Program 2026-27

One of TBESOC’s most beloved and long-running programs is back! Our members-only Adult B’nai Mitzvah Class offers adults of all ages the opportunity to deepen their Jewish learning, build community, and prepare to lead prayer and chant from the Torah — or simply to learn Hebrew in a supportive, welcoming environment.

No prior Hebrew experience is required. We begin from the very basics and progress together over 15 months of weekly learning.



Program Highlights
♦ Designed for adults of all ages — it’s never too late
♦ Learn to read prayerbook Hebrew and chant Torah

Two components:
♦ Hebrew - February 2, 2026 - April 2027
♦ General Judaica - Fall 2026 - Spring 2027
Participants may choose to take the Hebrew component only if they do not wish to become B. Mitzvah

Hebrew taught by Cantor Shula Kalir Merton, who has led every Adult B’nai Mitzvah class at TBESOC since 1988

Zoom: June–August 
In-person lessons will resume in the fall of 2026
