6:30 PM - 7:30 PMChapel
HIAS’ EIGHTH ANNUAL REFUGEE SHABBAT, taking place March 13-14, 2026, is an opportunity to recognize the profound impact of the global Jewish movement working on behalf of refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced people. Taking a moment on Shabbat to celebrate the work being done, and to educate and mobilize our temple and local community, is essential.
Join us Friday, March 13th at 6:30 PM with Cantor Shula Kalir-Merton, Cantorial Soloist Kim Gubner, and featuring guest speaker Dr. Tim Hartshorn, PhD, Executive Director of the South County Crosscultural Council (SCCC) and Assistant Professor at Pitzer College. Dr. Hartshorn will share insights from his work leading educational and workforce support for local immigrant communities.
