JOIN US FOR A VERY SPECIAL REFUGEE SHABBAT

FRI. MAR. 31 (6:30 PM service with oneg following) featuring:

• Jackie Menter, executive director of the Orange County Jewish Coalition for Refugees, who will give us an update on the current cascading refugee crises and what is being done in Orange County to help refugees.
• A thoughtful conversation with Bogdan Artemenko, grand chef: husband of Julia Patyaka, photographer extraordinaire; father of David, age 6 and Vira, age 4; and son of Larysa, talented baker and businesswoman. TBE’s Welcome Circle is assisting them as they rebuild their lives in Orange County.
• An artful display of photographs, stories, and maps sharing our own congregants’ journeys as they moved from foreign lands to rebuild their lives in the U.S.
• A moving Shabbat service highlighting Jewish teachings and traditions for welcoming the stranger
• Special oneg including the opportunity to personally meet and welcome Bogdan, Jackie and many more lovely people.
