Our next hike will take place on August 3rd @ 8 am. With the summer heat we will continue to enjoy shadier and less strenuous hikes. We will meet in Rancho Santa Margarita, starting on a sidewalk for a very short distance until we reach the trailhead. We will take this to O'neill Park and travel out back to our cars.

Santa Margarita to O’Neill Park : Easy, a few small shallow streams to cross bring poles and water. Drive toward the mountains on Alicia parkway or from the 5 freeway, going South exit on Alicia and turn left. Drive several miles, and turn right on Santa Margarita Parkway. You will see the street on your right called Calle Corta. You can turn there, but better to turn right into the driveway of the Plaza Empresa. You will then turn right into the strip mall. You will see a KFC, Post office. The mall turns to the left, follow the parking lot and park in the parking lot by CrossFit or on the street.
