Raymond Plotkin Camp Scholarship
The Raymond Plotkin Campership Fund was established by Phyllis & Steve Blanc as a loving tribute to honor the memory of their beloved nephew Raymond Evan Plotkin, who passed away from complications of the H1N1 Swine Flu in 2009.
The fund is primarily available to provide financial assistance to first-time campers who otherwise might not be able to attend. It is available to children of TBESOC Members who will be attending Camp Kochavim, URJ Camp Newman, Swig, Camp Hess Kramer, Hilltop, Merage JCC Camp Haverim, Camp Ramah, Camp JCA Shalom, Tawonga, or Camp Yofi. (You may also submit a camp for consideration.)
To be considered for a scholarship, prospective recipients should write a letter about why they would like to attend camp. Please submit all letters to Carolyn Kappes by March 14, 2025, CKappes@tbesoc.org
If you are interested in helping kids in our community attend a Jewish summer camp, please consider donating to the Raymond Plotkin Campership Fund. Your support goes a long way in ensuring kids, who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend, receive this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
