B. Mitzvah Assigned Parts

Parent 1 Hebrew Name
Parent 2 Hebrew Name

(Given to a member of TBE, that your family is connected to)

There are two-three ark openings during the service, with two sides of the door to be opened. More than one person can come up to each door if you have more people you want to honor but no more than 8 people total for each honor. If the service is shared with another family, these honors are shared with one family selecting A and the other B.
Non-Jewish grandparents should be given the honor of the first ark opening.
Passing the Torah (Great-Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents to Child). One of the parents holds the Torah and brings it to his or her child as the grandparents embrace the Torah as it journeys through the generations to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

The Hebrew names must be completed for the Aliyot section.  Complete Hebrew name consists of Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s first name plus his/her parents' first names (i.e., Shaul ben Yitzchak v’Shoshana). Bar/Bat Mitzvah has the Last Aliyah. Please do not list more than 4 people total for each aliyah.

B’nei Mitzvah reads this one

(Grandparents to Parents to Child):

·         G’lilah, The Torah dresser(s), must be Jewish and can be a child
