Shalom and Welcome to our ECC!

At TBESOC's Early Childhood Center we believe that children learn best when they are in a warm, nurturing, loving and safe environment. We believe that parents, teachers, administrators and clergy are a community working together to best serve the needs of each child in the program.

Our program provides a dynamic and creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum focusing on the whole child while preparing them for their future education. Our goal is to nurture and strengthen the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of each child. We integrate Judaic curriculum throughout the day so that children will develop a love of Judaism, an understanding of Jewish values, and a positive Jewish identity. We aim to provide children in our program opportunities to be actively engaged both inside and outside the classroom in order to develop the skills and self-esteem to become lifelong learners.

Preschool (2-4 years)
The preschool curriculum is built with a balance between academic and developmental philosophies of education with an emphasis on the whole child. It is designed to create an environment that encourages a love for learning, with a focus on:
- Jewish Values                   - Creativity and exploration
- Social Development     - Secular and Religious School readiness

We offer classes three, four or five days per week for our youngest students. With a goal to provide a positive first school experience for the child as he or she learns to separate from parents each day.

As our children grow, we support our 3 year olds in developing independence. The classroom and curriculum is designed to spark curiosity while instilling a love for learning.

Pre-K/ TK Group (4 years old by September 1st)
The goal of this class is to build on the skills attained in the younger preschool groups and to leave the ECC fully prepared with the skills necessary for Kindergarten and our Religious School program. This is a three, four or five day program.

Full Inclusion Preschool Project
The Full Inclusion Preschool Project (FIPP) is based on the philosophy that all children belong in a fully inclusive, general education environment no matter their challenges or special needs. Funded by private organizations and donors, FIPP’s goal is to enable children with special needs to actively participate in the same classroom with their typically developing peers. Our program offers services to toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners with — or at risk of — developmental delays or other disabilities.

Gabi

My name is Gabi Love and I have been at Temple Beth El for 12 years. Originally from San Diego, I now live in Mission Viejo with my husband Ed, my 21 year old son Vincent, and my 2 dogs and 2 cats. I also have a 19 year old daughter attending college in Texas. My time at Temple Beth El began with me working as an aide for a special needs child, something very near and dear to my heart. For the next couple of years I worked with a few other children in all age groups of our school. I enjoyed working with children so much I decided to go back to school for my early childhood units. I worked with our 3/4 year olds for a few years but have now consistently been with our 2/3 year olds for the last 5 years.
While I love working with all of the children I especially love getting to be their first teacher and sharing their very first school experience.  Seeing their smiling faces every day and watching them grow through the year truly warms my heart.
